Eve Muson is a stage director, dramaturg, and theatre educator in the Baltimore/DC area.
She is Associate Professor and incoming Chair at University of Maryland, Baltimore County's Department of Theatre and also serves as Director of its BFA in Acting Program. She is the principal director for GRRL Parts, UMBC’s festival of new plays by women. For this annual project, Eve has directed commissioned works by Sheila Callaghan, Tanya Saracho, Lucy Thurber, Ellen McLaughlin, and Timberlake Wertenbaker. She has directed dozens of university productions including Everybody, She Like Girls, Rhinoceros, Leah’s Dybbuk, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Gum, Las Meninas, The Cripple of Inishmaan, Arcadia, Slavs!, and many new plays and devised works. Eve's work has been cited three times at the national level for Distinguished and Outstanding Direction by the Kennedy Center/American College Theater Festival, most recently for the World Premiere production of Girls On A Dirt Pile. Directing credits include The Diary of Anne Frank at Chesapeake Shakespeare Company, Kerrmoor (Interrobang & Strand Theater, FringeNYC) Inexcusable Fantasies (Strand Theater, Prague Festival Fringe, FringeNYC), Speech & Debate and Las Meninas (RepStage), Venus, Big River, and Peter Pan (Olney Theatre Center,) and many productions at Boston Playwrights Theatre, WordBRIDGE Laboratory, American Stage Festival, and Edinburgh Festival Fringe. |
